Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or NA Trainee - Cardiac 400 E South - Day Shift
About The Position
CoxHealth is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Nurse Assistant Apprentice for the Cardiac 400 E South department at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week on day shift, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The role provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include taking vital signs, bathing and dressing patients, helping move patients, changing linens, obtaining information about patient conditions as requested, and reporting changes in condition. Nurse Assistant Apprentices function in classroom and clinical learning environments to train as unlicensed assistive personnel. During clinical rotations, they provide basic patient care under the direction and supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff, perform duties within their scope of practice, and report changes in patient condition. A competency assessment is administered at the end of training. Applicants may qualify as a Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Nurse Assistant Apprentice. Requirements
- For the Nurse Assistant Apprentice pathway, BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
- For the Certified Nurse Assistant/Nurse Assistant pathway, have one of the following: three months of nursing assistant experience in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT experience, or Surgical Technologist experience within the past three years; completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past three years; completion of a fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing or practical nursing education program; a Missouri CNA license; or a Missouri CNA Appendix, with the Missouri CNA license obtained within 120 days of hire.
- For the Certified Nurse Assistant/Nurse Assistant pathway, BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
