About The Position

Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include taking vital signs, bathing and dressing patients, moving patients, changing linens, and performing other duties as assigned. Obtain information about patient conditions as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition. Certified Nurse Assistants, Nurse Assistants, and Nurse Assistant Trainees are eligible to apply. A Nurse Assistant Training Program is referenced in the posting.

The position is in the Neuro 800 West Tower South department at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. The schedule is 36 hours per week, with hours of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on the day shift.

Requirements

• Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable performance and completion of job tasks.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• For the Certified Nurse Assistant/Nurse Assistant role, meet at least one of the following: have 3 months of nursing assistant experience in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT experience, or Surgical Technologist experience within the past 3 years; have completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years; have completed the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing or practical nursing education program; hold a Missouri CNA license; or have a Missouri CNA Appendix and obtain a Missouri CNA license within 120 days of hire.
