About The Position
Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include taking vital signs, bathing and dressing patients, moving patients, changing linens, and completing other assigned duties. Obtain information about patients’ conditions as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in condition. Certified Nurse Assistants, Nurse Assistants, and Nurse Assistant trainees are eligible to apply.
Requirements
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
- For Nurse Assistant trainees, prior patient care or healthcare-related experience is preferred.
- For Nurse Assistant trainees, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility in a multitasking environment, consistent and timely availability, and conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable completion of tasks.
- For Certified Nurse Assistants/Nurse Assistants, one of the following is required: at least 3 months of nursing assistant experience in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT experience, or Surgical Technologist experience within the past 3 years; completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years; completion of the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing or practical nursing education program; a Missouri CNA License; or a Missouri CNA Appendix, with the Missouri CNA license obtained within 120 days of hire.
- For Certified Nurse Assistants/Nurse Assistants, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and flexibility in a multitasking environment.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- Prior patient care or healthcare-related experience for Nurse Assistant trainees.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
