About The Position

Pine Creek Rehab in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care to residents. This is a part-time day-shift role. CNAs work 12-hour shifts, with day shifts running from 6 AM to 6 PM. Part-time CNAs work one to two days per week. Employee benefits listed in the posting are available only to full-time employees, not part-time or PRN employees.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah.
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support to assist residents with daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to help ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
