About The Position

The Certified Nurse Aide works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The role is based at CPH in the CPH West 3 department and is full-time, with an evening schedule from 3–11 p.m. and rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted New York State Nurse Aid Certification, or an unofficial transcript showing successful completion with a letter grade of B or better in Nursing 101 at an accredited nursing school program where activities of daily living are taught, together with the course syllabus as evidence.
• BLS certification is required within three months of hire.
• If not certified, must remain enrolled in a nursing school program while employed as a nurse aide. If the employee stops being a student before graduation, they may not continue working until certified as a Certified Nurse Aide in New York State. The employee has six months to become certified or will be considered ineligible for employment and terminated.
