About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring Certified Nurse Aides to join its compassionate care teams at skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role supports residents during their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and encouraging recreational and therapeutic activities. CNAs are expected to work collaboratively with residents, families, and the healthcare team while following infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or be able to activate certification.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
