About The Position

Maria Parham Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under the delegation and supervision of an RN. The role supports patients with daily living activities, monitors and documents care, and helps maintain safe, clean, and appropriately stocked patient areas. The position also supports nursing and physician staff and department throughput.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification is required.

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Monitor vital signs and, when needed, measure blood glucose and accurately record intake and output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
• Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.
• Manage the tech desk and support nursing and physician staff and department throughput.
• Document care and activities according to unit standards.
