About The Position

Visiting Angels of Sacramento is seeking compassionate, experienced caregivers who are passionate about helping others to join our team. We are hiring a Part Time Certified Nurse Aide for clients throughout the local area including Sacramento, Davis, Elk Grove, Laguna, Lemon Hill, La Riviera, Rosemont, and many others. A Visiting Angels Part Time Certified Nurse Aide helps our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity. Responsibilities may include helping clients with personal care and hygiene, managing light housekeeping, encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals, prompting clients to take their prescription medications, assisting with shopping and meal preparation, and assisting clients with mobility and ambulation. A Certified Nurse Aide must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies and report any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the US
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Must be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Ability to pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals

• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)

• Adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances
