Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), per diem / unscheduled, 2nd shift
About The Position
We are hiring dedicated, compassionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), and Caregivers to provide resident-focused, quality care for the elder Franciscan sisters. This is an unscheduled casual Nurse Aide/CNA position on afternoons (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) at our Buffalo convent home located on Doat Street/ Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.76 - $24.61 for Nurse Aides and CNAs. Wages/pay rate will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required.
- Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care.
- Documenting care for our sisters as required.
- Communicating with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care.
- Assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards.
- Work together to strive to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment.
- Engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engage in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
- Maintaining partnerships among all departments are critical to achieving sister satisfaction and attaining a thriving living and working environment.
