About The Position
Dubuque Specialty Care, an 84-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Dubuque, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a full-time first-shift position with every other weekend scheduled. The CNA joins a compassionate care team supporting residents through their healthcare journey and helping maintain their daily routines, comfort, and well-being. Care Initiatives operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection-control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
