About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring part-time and full-time Certified Medication Technicians for evening and overnight shifts at its Eastern Shore location. The role provides medical support to clients at a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, helping stabilize clients and support their participation in treatment. The technician assists with nursing shift duties, medication management, medical supply management, care coordination, appointments, aftercare arrangements, and pharmacy needs.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in Maryland.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of substance use and its biopsychosocial consequences.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely medical care to stabilize clients and support their engagement in treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, conducting drug screens, managing medications, charting, and reporting.
• Coordinate care with medical and clinical teams.
• Manage, order, and restock medical supplies.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for clients after discharge.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
