About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Certified Medication Technicians for its Eastern Shore residential facility, with part-time and full-time opportunities for evening and overnight shifts. The role provides timely medical support to help stabilize clients and enable their participation in treatment. It includes nursing-shift duties, medication management, coordination with medical and clinical teams, supply management, appointment scheduling, discharge aftercare arrangements, and pharmacy support.

Requirements

• CPR certification.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in Maryland.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative skills, multitasking ability, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of substance use and its biopsychosocial consequences.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, conducting drug screens, medication management, charting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to coordinate care.
• Manage, order, and restock medical supplies as needed.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for clients after discharge.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
