Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
1 year related experience in a medical environment preferred.
Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided.
Must have current CPR Certification.
Candidate must have an active C.N.A license and CMA I license registered with the KY Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Document medication administration and reasons for non-administration in the MAR.
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety protocols during medication delivery.
Participate in audits and report adverse reactions to supervisors.
Maintain medication supply levels.
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in audits and data collection to support performance improvement efforts.
Monitor for adverse reactions and report them promptly.
