About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join its team at Idaho State Correctional Institution in South Boise/Kuna, Idaho. Centurion provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Idaho Department of Correction and contracts with state and local governments to serve correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff, the CMT assists nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document dosages and administration times. The CMT also takes vital signs, assists with examinations and treatments, supports patients with activities of daily living, and monitors patients to report changes in their conditions. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on an 8-hour evening shift Thursday through Sunday. Pay is $18–$22 per hour based on years of experience, plus shift differential. A $1,000 joining bonus is offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Medical Aide certification, or ability to obtain it, with approval for medication administration.
Maintain current tuberculosis documentation.
Maintain active CPR/AED certification.
Pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in an acute care, emergency, or correctional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities
