About The Position

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work part-time/per diem in the medical department at the Carroll County Detention Center in Westminster, Maryland. The technician provides comprehensive nursing care and performs duties under the supervision of an RN. Applicants must also hold CNA certification.

Available shifts are weekends from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The position includes a two-week orientation period involving on-the-job training and shadowing nursing staff. The listed pay range is $19.00–$19.75 per hour; the range reflects base pay and shift differentials, rather than a sliding scale based on experience. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift and weekend differentials, premium holiday pay, sign-on bonuses, and employee referral bonuses.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved CMT program.
• Dual certification as a CMT and CNA.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Pleasant telephone manner.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial intake screenings for new receptions.
• Take vital signs and complete appropriate intake forms.
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas.
• Perform daily medication passes and maintain medication records.
• Type reports, letters, and memoranda.
• Answer the telephone and process calls.
• Maintain the filing system and protect confidential information.
• Follow universal precautions.
• Maintain a pleasant working attitude.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.
