About The Position

Victorian Estates in Yukon, Oklahoma, is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to provide medication administration and resident care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The aide administers oral and topical medications as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policies. The role supports the facility’s mission to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the needs and expectations of residents and patients.

Requirements

State certification as a Nurse Aide.
State-approved medication administration certification.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nurse aide.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

State certification as an Advanced Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with applicable regulations and facility policy.
Demonstrate knowledge of the five rights of medication administration.
Accurately record medication and/or treatment administration.
Observe residents for medication reactions or side effects and report them to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
Administer PRN medications in accordance with applicable regulations and facility policy.
