About The Position
Priority Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support residents’ care and recovery at Brookhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Texas. The role involves administering medications according to specified procedures, monitoring residents for responses or unexpected reactions, recording vital signs and intake/output as directed, and responding to resident signals. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Hold a current, valid CNA certification in good standing.
- Hold a current Medication Aide certification in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Verify the identity of residents receiving medication and record the drug name, dosage, and administration time on designated forms or records.
- Present medication to residents and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication using specified procedures.
- Take vital signs or observe residents for responses to medications; prepare reports or notify designated personnel about unexpected reactions.
- Take and record temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
- Answer signal lights, bells, or the intercom system to determine residents’ needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
