About The Position
Highland Park Health Care in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, is hiring a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) on a per-diem basis. The CMA administers oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policies. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team supporting clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and resident services.
Requirements
- State certification as a nurse aide.
- State-approved medication administration certification.
- Complete familiarity with certified nurse aide duties.
- Highly developed observation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with applicable regulations and facility policy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the five rights of medication administration.
- Accurately record medication and treatment administration.
- Observe for medication reactions and side effects and report them to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
- Administer PRN medications in accordance with applicable regulations and facility policy.
