About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a full-time Certified Medication Aide to support residents in its skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and medication administration, monitoring residents’ health, providing companionship and emotional support, and helping foster a safe, positive environment. The schedule includes day and evening shifts. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Valid Medication Aide certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Pass medications.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Monitor residents’ health and conduct routine vital checks.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
