About The Position
TK Health Clinics is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to provide patient care at Jefferson County Jail in Beaumont, Texas. The role works alongside licensed nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in a structured, secure correctional healthcare environment. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled for the evening shift, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Vaccinations are not required. Employment offers are contingent upon satisfactory completion of required background screening.
Requirements
- Valid Medication Aide Certification.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Dependable and professional, and comfortable working in a secure healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications as authorized under the aide’s certification and applicable regulations.
- Accurately document medication administration and related patient information.
- Observe and report changes in patient conditions to licensed nursing staff.
- Assist with routine patient care activities within the authorized scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate medication records and follow established procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safe, consistent patient care.
- Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and correctional healthcare standards.
