The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for accurately administering and documenting medications to Heartspring students in a school and residential group home setting. The role involves verifying medication accuracy, distributing and documenting prescribed medications, ensuring proper tracking of controlled substances, preparing medications for student travel, administering insulin, managing medication inventory and refills, assisting with medication delivery, ensuring compliance with regulations, performing temperature checks, reporting health concerns, and auditing medication records. The CMA also relays information between the Medical Office and other care providers regarding medication changes or treatments. Secondary functions include performing vital sign checks, restocking first aid kits, and checking in medications and deliveries.
