The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will be responsible for providing medication administration to residents under the direction of an RN. This includes assisting with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, serving meals, feeding patients, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients, and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. The CMA will also provide adjunct care such as administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, and therapeutic baths. They will maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight, testing urine, and recording intake and output. Documentation of actions, adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining professional standards are also key responsibilities.
