The Certified Medical Assistant supports patients through in-office clinical duties and coordinated care beyond the visit in a patient-centered, outcomes-driven environment. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, administering injections and immunizations, performing phlebotomy and specimen collection, conducting EKGs and point-of-care testing, assisting with minor in-office procedures, providing wound care and dressing changes, and administering medications according to provider protocols and standing orders. The role also supports continuity of care by coordinating referrals and follow-up, assisting with chronic disease management and prior authorizations, and partnering with the extended care team to close care gaps and improve patient outcomes. Upperline Health describes its approach as comprehensive, whole-person specialty care, with an additional value-based care program for qualifying patients that provides preventive support and access to a dedicated care team between visits. The company seeks compassionate, organized, adaptable individuals who value collaboration, continuous learning, and patient advocacy. Team members are expected to demonstrate Upperline’s C.A.R.E.S. values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service.
