About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant supports primary care operations at Saint Thomas Bellevue Neurology Specialists in Nashville, Tennessee. The role helps coordinate patient visits by preparing treatment areas and conducting initial screenings. It also records vital signs and patient care information, processes orders for laboratory tests and imaging, supports communications, and maintains medical supplies to help the clinical team deliver timely care.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Obtain Certified Medical Assistant certification within 120 days of hire or job transfer. Approved credentialing bodies include American Medical Technologists, National Healthcare Association, National Center for Competency Testing, National Association for Health Professionals, and American Association of Medical Assistants.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• Must be willing to work Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment environments and conduct initial screenings to support patient visits.
• Document vital signs and patient care journeys accurately.
• Transcribe and process orders for laboratory tests and imaging.
• Manage front-of-house communications.
• Maintain medical supplies.
