About The Position

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will support patient care by gathering essential information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will assist nurses and other healthcare practitioners, using your education and demonstrated competencies to contribute to the healthcare team. The role focuses on supporting high-quality patient care in close collaboration with nursing staff. This is a full-time day position scheduled four days per week, eight hours each day. Certification is required. The position is available only to people residing in the United States.

Requirements

Successfully complete an accredited CMA course.
Hold current Medical Assistant certification in the state if certification is required by the state or facility.
Be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
Reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff and follow established policies and procedures to support quality patient care, using proper techniques and safety precautions.
Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
Follow designated work schedules, respond to codes or patient crises according to site policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
Use infection-control techniques and principles to support patients’ emotional and physical comfort and safety.
Maintain work areas, supplies, and equipment.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
