About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative tasks in a walk-in clinic, working alongside the provider to support patient care and smooth clinic operations. The role is the first point of patient care in the clinic and includes rooming and preparing patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures. The Medical Assistant measures patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, using manual and automatic methods where applicable. The role also includes completing required patient-care documentation, such as medical histories and referral requests, and assisting teammates and providers with day-to-day clinic operations as needed. The clinic is located at 1996 Walden Dr., Gaylord, Michigan. The position is PRN, with a schedule of 0–40 hours weekly. Office hours are 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, with weekend hours of 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements

Be credentialed as a Medical Assistant through an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
Obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or GED equivalent.
BLS certification is preferred.
Experience in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
