About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine) for a permanent/full-time position in New Hampshire. Local candidates are preferred. This role involves performing a variety of clinical procedures, assisting providers, patient education, documentation, and maintaining a well-equipped examination environment. The position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a medical office or clinical setting – Required
  • Completion of at least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum or equivalent Medical Assistant training – Required
  • Must maintain active Medical Assistant Certification – Required
  • Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care, and medical terminology
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent formal training – Required
  • Active Medical Assistant Certification – Required
  • BLS Certification (AHA) – Required

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws, injections, immunizations, laboratory testing, and other procedures within the scope of Medical Assistant certification.
  • Assist providers during patient examinations, including obtaining vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures while providing compassionate care.
  • Answer and return patient phone calls as directed by the provider.
  • Educate patients according to physician instructions regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Assist with medical documentation, referrals, laboratory requisitions, and other clinical records.
  • Maintain adequate inventory and order clinical supplies as needed.
  • Assist with nursing procedures and other patient care responsibilities as directed by the provider.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Clinical Coordinator or Practice Manager within the scope of Medical Assistant certification.
