About The Position

Texas Hip & Knee FW is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position working days. The role involves delivering patient care, managing patient check-outs, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls. You will also communicate test results and care plans to patients as directed by physicians, ensure patient safety, and protect patient privacy. The position may require front office duties and other tasks as assigned by management or healthcare providers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)
  • ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
  • Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
  • Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
  • Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
  • May work in the front office as needed
  • May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
