About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role is for a full-time position, working 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The work location is primarily at 4450 Tubbs Road, Rockwall, TX 75032, with travel to 874 West Hwy 243 - Suite 107, Kaufman, TX 75142. Requirements

High School Diploma (REQUIRED)
Valid Certification as a Medical Assistant (REQUIRED)
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly - 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a CMA (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire (PREFERRED)
At least 6 months of Surgical Scheduling experience, Front Office experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Knowledge of prior authorizations and referrals (PREFERRED)
Strong knowledge of Insurance Benefits (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Bilingual - English/Spanish (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
