About The Position

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant for a fast-paced, high-volume clinic. This role is responsible for delivering patient care utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process, conducting patient check-out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls. The Medical Assistant will also communicate test results and care plans to patients as directed by physicians, ensure patient safety and privacy, and may assist with front office duties. THPG is a large group of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants dedicated to quality, patient-safe care across the DFW Metroplex, fostering an inclusive and supportive culture.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA)
BCLS upon hire
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry
NO NEW GRADUATES
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 3 years as a CMA experience in Pediatric, Family Practice or Hospital Setting
Current Phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
