About The Position

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. The role also has general responsibilities assisting with the day-to-day operation of the office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care includes patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant: CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Cognitive ability to understand patients' medical records and physicians' and medical orders, and to communicate orders to patients, hospitals, and other physicians.
• Ability to work according to accepted clinical standards.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience performing X-rays and EKGs.
• Six months of experience.
