About The Position

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. The role also has general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day operation of the office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care includes patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification; accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Must be able to understand patients' medical records, physicians' orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patients, hospitals, or other physicians.
• Must possess the discipline to work according to accepted clinical standards.
• BLS required within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience performing X-rays and EKGs.
• Six months of experience.
