Requirements

High School Diploma (REQUIRED)
Valid Certification as a Medical Assistant (REQUIRED)
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly - 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a CMA (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
Bilingual - English/Spanish (PREFERRED)
NCT - Non-certified Radiologic Technician training may be required upon hire (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process.
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls as the primary function of the position.
Communicates with patients regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by a physician.
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
May work in the front office as needed.
May perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
