About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant in the Primary Care department at an Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Indianapolis, IN. The schedule is Monday - Friday between 7 am and 5 pm, with a start time no later than 8:30 am. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms. They will streamline clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories. The role also involves transcribing provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring accurate documentation of diagnoses and follow-up instructions. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will manage administrative duties such as medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
