About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Immediate Care department in Zionsville, IN. This role involves assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, streamlining clinic workflow by interviewing patients and recording vital signs and medical histories, transcribing provider orders, and managing administrative duties such as medical record maintenance and inventory. The clinic is open 7 days a week, requiring a varied schedule that includes rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Current MA certification
Experience with 3 years in ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures while maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms.
Streamline clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories in patient charts.
Transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring all diagnoses and follow-up instructions are documented with high precision.
Manage essential administrative duties, including medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management to ensure seamless clinic daily operations.
