Certified Medical Assistant- Oncology & Infusion Clinic (Tidelands)
About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant will work in the Medical University Hospital Authority’s Tidelands Medical Oncology & Infusion clinic. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and complete an accredited medical assisting program. One year of patient care experience is preferred. Candidates must hold at least one listed medical assistant certification. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the day shift. The position involves physical activity, including standing, walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, and occasional lifting and exertion. Work may include rotating shifts and overtime as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
- One year of patient care experience is preferred.
- Hold one of the following certifications: American Medical Technologist (AMT); American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); National Health career Association (NHA); MedCA Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1); National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and lifting or exerting force as described.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
