About The Position
Baptist Primary Care is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Fernandina Beach office. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The ideal candidate performs back-office medical assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the provider.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of patient care experience.
- Experience in a physician's office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certified Medical Assistant credential.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to physicians.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Greet and chaperone patients during medical visits.
- Maintain medical documentation.
- Schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician direction.
- Process prescription requests and referrals.
- Room patients and assist the provider.
