About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistants work as members of the medical/nursing team to provide care to a mentally ill population. Our medical department is dedicated to helping our clients improve their lives through a coordinated approach to care involving clients, their caregivers, their clinical staff, and primary care providers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CMA certification
  • CPR certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Comfortable with EMR usage
  • Fast learner with computer programs

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and take their vitals, administer injections, collect health information, etc.
  • Coordinate timely and efficient patient flow in the department
  • Complete prior authorizations, laboratory requisitions, and other forms
  • Obtain patient records, answer calls and relay information in a timely manner
