About The Position

Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for a fast-paced, high-volume internal medicine clinic in Flower Mound, Texas. This full-time position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role delivers patient care using the Certified Medical Assistant Process, with patient check-out, surgery scheduling, and postoperative calls as primary functions. The assistant also communicates test results and care plans as directed by a physician, protects patient safety and privacy, and may help in the front office as needed. Eligible new hires may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across more than 240 offices in the DFW Metroplex.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Medical Assistant certification.
Prior experience as a Certified Medical Assistant; new CMAs are not accepted.
Successful completion of the THPG Clinical Training educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills within 90 days of job entry.
BCLS certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of CMA experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process.
Conduct patient check-out, surgery scheduling, and postoperative calls as primary functions of the position.
Communicate with patients by phone or mail regarding test results and plans of care as directed by a physician.
Provide for patient safety and protect patient privacy rights.
Work in the front office as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager, more senior staff, or healthcare providers.
