About The Position
Centurion Health’s Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Georgia Diagnostic & Classification State Prison (GDCP) in Jackson, Georgia, supports nursing and medical staff in providing patient care in a structured, secure environment. Requirements
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CPR certification.

- Minimum one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and basic clinical assessments.
- Support nurses and providers with treatments, procedures, and medication-related tasks within scope.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
- Prepare examination areas and ensure supplies are properly stocked.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and facility protocols.
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Support continuity of care between day and night shift teams.
