About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Medical) works under the close direction of nursing, medical, and psychiatric staff to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. The CNA assists patients with personal hygiene and daily living needs and monitors vital signs. This is a full-time, day-shift position at Augusta State Medical Prison in Grovetown, Georgia. No travel is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening, or ability to obtain it.
- Active certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in long-term or skilled care, residential care, a physician practice, or a correctional setting.
