About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. This position involves assisting healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure efficient operation of the medical office or facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, administering medications as permitted, and maintaining accurate patient records. Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant or practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a primary care or specialty medical practice.
- Additional certifications such as phlebotomy or EKG technician credentials.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding procedures.
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to the patient population served.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as authorized by the supervising physician or nurse.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
- Maintain and update patient medical records accurately and confidentially.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinical documentation.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
