About The Position

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant or practical nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as authorized by the supervising physician or nurse.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records accurately and confidentially.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
