About The Position

SRMH Ortho and Spine Center is currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant Coordinator in Harrisonburg, VA. This is a Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week position, and certification is required at hire. The Certified Medical Assistant Coordinator collaborates with the Assistant Practice Manager and the Practice Manager to ensure the efficient and effective clinical operations of a practice. This role assumes responsibility and accountability for daily clinical operations, supports employees with solutions for everyday operational needs, and manages multiple projects and performs special work assignments as needed. The coordinator will also support the Assistant Practice Manager, Practice Manager, Director, and other leadership team members as needed, and collaborate with cross-departmental/divisional teams to achieve goals. This individual takes initiative and implements new processes independently, acting as a role model for the clinical team and a subject matter expert in clinical areas.

Requirements

  • One year of administrative experience required
  • One year of medical office experience required
  • Two years of patient care experience required
  • High School Diploma OR equivalency required
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Registered Medical Assistant
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
  • Certified EMT (EMT-B)
  • BLS within 90 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • Medication Administration certification or training preferred
