About The Position

Isaiah House is Kentucky’s largest non-profit, Christ-centered addiction recovery organization. We provide evidence-based, holistic care to individuals battling substance use disorders. With a heart for transforming lives, we serve individuals and families across the Commonwealth through a full continuum of care, from residential treatment to outpatient services and recovery support. We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care within our treatment programs. The CMA works closely with the medical and clinical teams to assist with vital signs, basic medical testing, appointment preparation, documentation, and other day-to-day healthcare needs. This role also helps ensure efficient medical operations by maintaining accurate records, coordinating supplies, and supporting clients throughout their care. The ideal candidate understands the unique needs of individuals receiving substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment and is committed to providing respectful, compassionate, and recovery-focused care.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted CMA, SRNA, CNA, or equivalent credential (e.g., EMT, respiratory therapist); CPR certification required.
  • 2+ years of relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Understanding of recovery, mental health, and co-occurring disorders, with experience in addiction treatment settings preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform vital signs, withdrawal assessments, CLIA-waived testing, and communicate/document client status
  • Maintain clean medical rooms, accurate records, and support overall medical workflow
  • Prepare vitamin boxes, fulfill hygiene needs, and assist with client care tasks
  • Gather documents for appointments, assist with tracking, and support scheduling needs
  • Monitor and maintain supplies (first aid, hygiene, OTC) and support compliance with clinical standards
