Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a childcare lead teacher.
- Strong understanding of child development and current early education practices.
- Creative, patient, and able to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying ages.
- CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Early Childhood Staff Credential, degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent certification required for Lead Teacher designation.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement weekly lesson plans that promote creativity, learning, and age-appropriate skill development.
- Use diverse teaching methods including storytelling, hands-on activities, creative arts, games, and outdoor learning.
- Evaluate and document children’s developmental progress through observations and daily notes.
- Maintain consistent communication with families regarding their child’s day, growth, and achievements.
- Support a structured daily schedule that promotes routine and a positive classroom flow.
- Encourage positive interactions among children and help guide social-emotional development.
- Identify behavioral or developmental concerns and take appropriate steps to support each child’s needs.
- Assist with hygiene routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing following health and safety standards.
- Prepare and serve age-appropriate meals/snacks while following food safety guidelines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment at all times.
