Phoenix National Labs (PNL), part of the ATS Family of Companies, located in Tempe, AZ, is seeking Certified ICC / IFC Special Inspectors to support major commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and semiconductor construction projects throughout Arizona. We are actively recruiting qualified individuals who hold certifications and experience in special inspection, welding inspection, and nondestructive testing. These are permanent and/or part-time (contract) assignments for those already in the Phoenix/Tempe, AZ region or able/willing to relocate. Immediate Opportunities: Certified Special Inspectors, including: Structural Steel Inspection High-Strength (HS) Bolting Inspection Fireproofing Inspection IFC or FCIA Firestop Inspection

Requirements

Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Comfortable with scheduling upwards of 50 personnel.
Conflict management and resolution.
Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Current ICC Special Inspector certifications, including any/all of the following: Structural Steel Inspection High-Strength (HS) Bolting Inspection Fireproofing Inspection IFC or FCIA Firestop Inspection
Proven experience performing special inspections on commercial or industrial construction projects
Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements
Excellent documentation and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with contractors, owners, and project teams

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, building codes, and industry standards
Complete inspection reports and project documentation accurately and timely
Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve inspection-related issues
Maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and technical excellence
