About The Position
Apollo Home Healthcare is recruiting a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide quality home health visits to patients in their homes. The CHHA provides personal healthcare and related services as an extension of nursing or therapy services, helps maintain a safe and clean environment, works cooperatively with patients, caregivers, and families, and shares observations and problems with a supervisor. Apollo is an Obran Cooperative Company. Requirements
- Current California Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in compliance with applicable federal and state requirements.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written care instructions and accurately document services provided.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to travel to patients’ homes.
- Experience in home healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, hygiene, hair and nail care, dressing, and assistance with elimination.
- Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion activities.
- Change linens and prepare light meals.
- Perform light housekeeping pertaining to the patient or client.
- Report the patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse.
- Adhere to Apollo documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Work cooperatively with the patient, caregivers, and family, and share observations and problems with the supervisor.
- Help provide a safe and clean environment in the patient's residence.
