About The Position

Lighthouse Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Compassionate Hospice Aide (CHHA) to join their team, providing patient care in and around the Cherry Hill Area. This role involves working under the guidance of a registered nurse to offer essential services, ensuring patient comfort and well-being. The position requires an observant and caring nature to maintain the quality, continuity, and safety of patient care. Lighthouse Hospice is a premier provider of end-of-life care with a mission-driven and patient-centric approach, and is rapidly expanding.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license OR a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated.
Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 6 months experience in hospice or skilled nursing facility preferred.
Hospice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Follow the plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
Support patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
Emphasize exceptional customer service to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
Share knowledge and expertise with patients' families, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
Maintain accurate documentation in the patient's home and within agency and regulatory standards.
