About The Position

Lighthouse Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Compassionate Hospice Aide (CHHA) to join their team, providing patient care in and around the Cherry Hill Area. This role involves working under the guidance of a registered nurse to offer essential services, ensuring patient comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will be observant and caring, contributing to the quality, continuity, and safety of patient care. Lighthouse Hospice is a premier provider of end-of-life care with a mission-driven and patient-centric approach, and is rapidly expanding.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license OR a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 6 months experience in hospice or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Hospice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
• Emphasize exceptional customer service to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
• Support patients' families by sharing knowledge and expertise, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient's home and within agency and regulatory standards.
