About The Position
Interim HealthCare is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for a part-time, flexible hours position. The role involves providing a range of care services to clients in their homes, including companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transportation to appointments, and assistance with daily living activities such as grocery shopping. The position requires the CHHA to travel between assignments within the serviced geographic area.
Requirements
- NJ CHHA certification
- Reliable transportation
- Able to pass criminal history and drug screening
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
- Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide companion activities
- Perform homemaking tasks
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, shampooing, nail and skin care
- Assist with exercise, activity and positioning, range of motion, transferring, ambulation and assistive devices
- Monitor vital signs
- Provide post-stroke and dementia care
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Assist with meal preparation
- Provide transportation to appointments
- Ensure adherence to patient plan of care
- Assist with daily activities, such as grocery shopping
